  • Chili is a fantastic fall/winter comfort food. We also love it as a quick get-together meal in late summertime.

  • I love a good bowl of chile – not “chili” – here in New Mexico, we call all the kinds of “chili” you describe as “Texas chili” – even if it’s Cincinnati style – because it is completely unlike the chile we have here in NM. Our chile uses lots of green chiles, mostly Big Jims, it can be really hot, and we eat it by itself, or in a breakfast burrito, or poured over a burrito. Your many different varieties are interesting! We do use Texas chili on Frito Pie – which is very strange when eaten at 5:30 a.m. before ballooning – life is crazy, isn’t it?!

  • Yum! Some of these look like they are deifinitely worth a try! We have a family favourite for regular chili, but I wouldn’t mind trying the couple recipes with sweet potato in them! Thanks for sharing!

  • The two vegan chilis look great. I make a vegan chili every Halloween. It’s a great tradition. Plus, I can make it in advance so it’s ready as we pop in and out during trick-or-treating.

  • It is amazing how many different versions of chili there are. I’m not a big fan of pumpkin, but I love the presentation for the Spicy Slow Cooker Pumpkin Chili. The pumpkin balls are so cute and festive.
