Rump Roast Slow Cooker Recipe

Rump roast in the slow cooker is my go-to recipe for busy days. It is a great time-saver when you know you will be gone from home all day or most of the day. I seem to have more of these types of days now that we have grandchildren. I love to go visit my grandchildren during the week and it seems the morning hours are best for them. So this would throw me off with getting a nice dinner ready for my family still living here at home. So I seem to plan more slow cooker meals like rump roast more often.

A good roast can be made several different ways but my slow cooker recipe works for me best and it is so easy to put together and start before I run out the door to go visit the kids or run errands. You should invest in a slow cooker with different modes and timers if you plan to be gone most of the day.  A rump roast does not need to cook on high all day.  A good rump roast is wonderful if slow-cooked at the right temperature.

I also like to add potatoes and carrots to my rump roast but sometimes I wait and make mashed potatoes, also.  My family has always loved mashed potatoes and corn at a meal.  I think I will go with these side dishes today.

Enjoy your meal and take a few minutes to look around here for a great dessert to serve with your meal. I will leave a few links at the bottom here to help you decide.
