Let me tell you a little about me and see what we might have in common.
I am saved by grace and love the Lord my God with all my heart. I am blessed to be married for 39 years, and we have 3 daughters. The oldest two daughters are married, and the youngest still lives here at home. We have 3 grandchildren at this time. We homeschooled for over 18 years with our daughters, and we love our church. I also love to quilt, bake, and cook. I like anything old, country, and vintage. My home is in the country, rustic theme.
I worked here online for over 21 years in the marketing department for a couple of companies. I loved being able to work from home and help provide for my family and home. During those years, we had to live paycheck to paycheck most months, but with the grace of God, we always had what we needed and never went without. Now I want to share with young homemakers how I did my part to help out and to provide a warm, cozy, loving home for my family.
During the past years, I would think that I couldn’t show hospitality in my home because my home wasn’t nice enough, magazine ready, you know? I didn’t think I could provide a meal/dinner for others plus my family. So I spent many years never showing hospitality until one day I realized….. my family & friends did not want to buy my house, they just wanted to visit. I also learned that if I shopped wisely, cooked from scratch most meals, and followed a menu/plan, I could also host company for a meal and still stay on budget for the month.
I now want to share with others that you can show hospitality with any home & any budget. So clean up the house, open the door & invite others into your home.
